The legendary Leæther Strip is coming to Molkom!
Leæther Strip is the long-running solo project of Danish electronic musician Claus Larsen, and is regarded as one of the most influential acts on the European electro-industrial and EBM scene. The project was founded in 1988 and quickly became a key part of the development of dark electronic music in the early 1990s, thanks to its raw energy, aggressive beats and lyrics that are direct, honest and at times almost confrontational.
Early albums such as The Pleasure of Penetration and Science for the Satanic Citizen played a major role in defining the sound of dark electro and electro-industrial.
Larsen’s music is known not only for its harsh sound but also for its emotional and political depth, with themes such as personal struggle, identity and social criticism often taking centre stage. In addition to Leæther Strip, he has also worked on the side project Klutæ, where he has explored even rawer and more experimental industrial sounds.
After more than three decades, Leæther Strip remains a powerful force on the international underground scene, a true pioneer of industrial and EBM who has helped shape the landscape of dark electronic music in Europe and far beyond.
